I decided to do layouts of Bebo Norman. I love his song 'I Will Lift My Eyes' and wanted to share it with everyone. You can check out his music on his MySpace. I used papers from Vera Lim's Gunge White Collection and elements from Flergs Cottage Chic.
And now on to todays freebie. It is a package of 24 papers called Baby Tender. I loved making these papers. I love soft colors for babies, but I did throw in a couple of slightly brighter colors for those of you who prefer them. There are only 18 papers shown in the preview, so the others will just have to be a surprise.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great Sunday!

I added a couple of new items to the stores. Usually I only make full kits. I had these done and couldn't do anymore with them so I decided to sell them as is. You can purchase them at either Bouquet of Pixels or Mischief Scrapz. However if you go to Mischief Scrapz you will have to look under the PU papers and PU elements to find these two products. For some reason they do not show up on my designer page.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

I have been trying to get some scrapbooking done. The pictures keep piling up, and I need to get some of them scrapped. So I thought I would share a few layouts that I did over the past couple of days.

This is of my grandson Landon. The background is from The Boy is a Boy by Lily Designs. It can be purchased here.

I used a photo I took yesterday of my grandson Richard for this layout. I used a freebie kit I found at Digital Creations by Mimilou Designs. It is called Little Spring. You can pick it up here.

Our son in law Steven and our grand daughter Alissa. This photo was taken this past winter by Alissa's other grandma, Lori. I used Manuela Zimmerman's kit Delightful Retreat. You can purchase it here.
Now on to the freebies. When I was sick the last couple of months, I wasn't really into designing much. What I did do was make alot of color swatches that I wanted to use. I love making papers and mixing textures and designs. This is why I have been posting alot of paper packs for freebies. I love the papers, but lost the inspiration to do the elements to go along with them. So today I have two paper pack freebies for you.
The first one is Marlo. The name is from an old friend. I couldn't think of anything else to call it, and the colors just fit the person.

I loved the color swatch that I put together for the next one. It had more colors that I had originally put with it, but these two colors just worked so perfectly together.

I have also started to put some of my kits in my new store at Mischief Scrapz. Stop by and have a look around. All of my kits are on sale for 50% off until May 1st.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

I wanted to join a Fantasy Challenge and decided to go to Scrapbookgraphics.com and see if Lorie Davison had a new kit I could work with. If you have never worked with one of her kits, you are missing out! They are so whimsical and beautiful. She is an artist and you can visit her website here. Anyway, Lorie had one, but....they had a Guest Designer, Lily Designs. She had the cutest kit called The Boy is a Boy.

After seeing the kit and the layouts that others had done with it, I decided this was the one I had to have. It is so gorgeous! The papers are unbelieveable, and you can blend them together to make magical places.
I only had a short time to work on the layout. (there is never enough time!) After complaining to everyone in my house that would listen that something just wasn't right, I decided to call it done. (I see a redo in the future) I entered it into the challenge, which I think ends tomorrow. But the most important thing is that I found a new designer that I just love. You can go check out her blog here, and see the rest of her wonderful kits!
My grandson Landon. I hope he grows to have wonderful and imaginitive dreams that will take him places that most don't dare to go.

I know it has been a few days since I have offered any freebies, but they are in the works! I am working double time trying to get caught up.
I have spent most of the day trying to get all my kits repackaged for the new store, and I also spent a few moments making a couple of scrap pages to post on scrapbook flair. I entered three challenges today, but a couple of the pages were already done. I used the page I made for the David Crowder Band to enter into the Bands and Their Lyrics Challenge, and I entered the scrap page that I did of the new baby with his parents into the Spring Babies Challenge. The other one I entered is the Gothic Pages Challenge. I'm not really into gothic, but I really enjoy the push and challenge of trying to do these pages, usually they work out pretty well for me. Below is the page I entered. I look at them as more of an artistic challenge than a scrapping challenge, but I love to cut and throw together pictures. This one was meshed together from 4 different sources.
The photo of the cemetery is from FortyTwoBlades on DeviantArt, The angel is from Kencho on DeviantArt, The gothic girlis from FeaturePics and is by olgasweet, and the little photo of the girl used as the ghostly figure is from FeaturePics and is by dogachov.

The next scrap page is of my two grandsons, Landon and Richard. I used Manuela Zimmerman's Seems Like Yesterday kit.

That's all for today, thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

I would like to send a shout out to http://redivydesign.blogspot.com/. Thanks for linking to me!
I recieved an email from Warren Barfield and it had his Twitter address attached so those who wanted to follow him on Twitter could. I went to see what Twitter was all about and decided to sign up for it. So now I guess I'm a Twitterer. Not sure if that is the right terminology or not, but that is what I'll call myself for now. I only have 4 followers, none that are into scrapbooking, but hopefully that will change.
So far, since I have begun my Digital Scrapbooking journey;
*I have posted layouts to galleries and made a few friends while doing that.
*I joined a few Yahoo groups that deal with scrapbooking and developed friendships.
*I have started my own blog(s) and met alot of great people who like scrapbooking and made friends.
*Started selling kits in a few stores and made friends.
*Started Twittering and I'm waiting to see what will happen.
The funny thing is that outside of this digital world, the only people I talk to about scrapbooking is my family.
I live in a small town where you can only buy scrapbooking materials at a small store that sells a few scrapbooking items and trading cards, or WalMart. At one time there may have been a group of ladies who got together for scrapbooking, but I don't know of any groups that are still doing it. Maybe that is the reason why I like digital scrapbooking. There are no boundaries with what you can do and who you can meet. This digital world that has become so popular that it brings you into friendships with people that you would have normally never met.
Are we letting our lives get out of control by letting ourselves open to virtual strangers? Or, are we learning to accept other people not knowing anything about who they are, their backgrounds, or their faith. Learning to become friends with people who we normally wouldn't associate with in real life.
So whether it's blogging, visiting in the forums, or Twittering...I have learned a very important lesson in life. People aren't really that different from one another. When blinders are on, we all seem to blend in with one another, learning to accept other people regardless of who they are because we all want the same things out of life.
So should I Twitter or not Twitter.... I think I'll give it a go.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Anyway, why a thank you to the David Crowder Band? Well, to start with...their music is wonderful! But the main reason is because I opened a Twitter account today and they were the first ones to sign on as a follower. So I figured I would scrap a couple of pages of the band. The first one has all of their album covers on it, and a few photos of the band. The second one has the lyrics to one of their songs, Everything Glorious, and of course a photo of David Crowder. You can check them out by either going to their official web site here, or you can go to their myspace here. I also added one of their videos at the bottom of my blog if you want to take a listen.

Thanks for visiting, have a great evening!
I have a little minikit that is available of the Bouquet of Pixels blog. You can get it by going here.
It's a very soft pastel minikit made with a baby in mind. it has 4 papers and 15 elements. Be sure grab the other freebies available on the blog from the other designers.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

I am so excited to announce that I have a new grandson. He was born at 4:52 this morning. Richard is doing great and so is his mom and dad. I hope that I will be able to get some photos of him later this afternoon and be able to post them.
My daughter had a very long and tiring time. The doctor induced labor Friday. There were plenty of contractions, but nothing happened. She came home for the weekend and went back in on Monday and was induced again. The same thing happened, so they kept her overnight and tried again Tuesday. She was in labor most of the day and it looked as though it was going to work. They had everything ready, but put it all away late Tuesday evening. Well, I guess the little guy didn't want any help and decided to come this morning all on his own.
Thank you to everyone for your well wishes and prayers. It's our third grandchild, but it's still as much of a miracle as the first one and the second one were.
On Friday, the 17th, I will be posting a freebie on the Bouquet of Pixels blog. A little gift in honor of my new grandson. I'm calling it Baby Soft. Be sure to stop by and pick it up. They have alot of great freebies on the blog, and there is usually a new one every day.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

My daughter Shannon went to the doctor yesterday, (she is pregnant) and he told her that he wanted to induce labor on Friday. There is nothing wrong, she is just more than ready! So after waiting a very long 9 months, I am finally going to have another grandchild this weekend. I am sooooo excited! My daughter and her fiance' aren't sure what sex the baby is. At first the doctor thought it was a girl after her first ultra sound, but he has since changed his mind. My daughter has a son and her fiance' has a daughter, so I am sure whatever they have will be fine with them. They just want a happy healthy child.
Because of the baby coming I am assuming that I will be busy. So...I am putting 2 new kits in the store. I have made minikits to go along with them that I will be offering you today as freebies. Also, I have two QP's that I am going to give as freebies as well.
